6. This Week's Homework


This list is subject to change.


May 21-25:
-Check homework sheet daily, and have a parent sign the chart on Thursday night to turn in on Friday.  
-Read an AR book within your level for at least 20 minutes, fill out log nightly with parent initials, and return the log on Friday. Parents are now being asked to edit the sentence summaries for capitalization, punctuation, grammar, and spelling each night. Students who have met their AR goal do not need to read AR books but should still log what they are reading.
-There is no spelling this week.
-Students may bring home incomplete Science life cycle activities to finish.

May 14-18:

        Thursday-none--We'll be watching The Tale of Despereaux, to celebrate finishing our class novel and for a popcorn party since the kids earned enough gems to fill the vase in the room.

-Spelling for Unit 8-Week 3 test will be Friday with these words: cloud, downpour, moisture, point, shower, soil, south, sprout
- Students should be finished with their weather disaster projects and research. If not, they should be working on them at home and bringing back the finished project on Monday the 14th for their presentations. Students should be writing, reviewing, and practicing their cue cards for their oral presentations next week. 
-There is NO Math homework this week due to testing for Smarter Balanced in Math.
