About Mrs. Edlund

My name is Patricia Edlund. I grew up in Southern California and moved to Auburn six years ago with my husband and two children. I attended Loyola Marymount University for both my undergraduate degree and my credential program. I have seventeen years of teaching experience. I have taught for fourteen years as a high school English teacher in Southern California and really enjoy turning kids into life-long readers and writers! I was nominated and selected as one of Orange County’s Teachers of the Year in 2006. It was quite an honor to be nominated by my colleagues and selected as one of the top 15 finalists. In 2008, I decided to take some time off and stay at home with my two young children.

After moving to Auburn in 2010, I decided to go back into the classroom! I taught for two years at Calvary Chapel Christian School where my kids were attending school. Last year, I worked for a charter school in Rocklin helping at risk youth. This year I am VERY excited to be at Bowman helping to teach the 7th graders while Mrs. Holmes is at home caring for her young family. I am delighted to work with such bright and eager young learners!

I enjoy spending time with my family! I also really like to cook and entertain friends and family!

I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
