Independent Study

Bowman strongly encourages all of its students to be present every day at school. Students who know they will be absent may request independent study (IS) from the office. Students are permitted to request IS for any number of days, however, requests for 5 or more days will require advance notice of at least 5 days prior.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT for your independent study, please PRINT OUT your finished IS work (assignments, projects, tests, essays, etc) and TURN IN TO THE OFFICE THE DAY YOU RETURN.

Independent Study information for specific classes:

WORLD STUDIES: Please refer to the class calendar to see which section we are studying during your absence. Read the assigned section(s) and answer the accompanying interactive notebook questions. If we are doing the reading challenge and test, complete these assignments according to class guidelines.
