COVID-19 Information and Resources
Ackerman Charter School District is committed to providing both a quality education and a safe learning environment for our staff and students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Below is a collection of current school procedures and resources based on guidelines from California Department of Public Health and Placer County Health & Human Services.
Volunteers and Visitors on Campus
ACSD recognizes the importance and value of volunteers and visitors on the quality of education we are able to provide. These parents, grandparents, and guardians allow us to offer small group instruction, enrichment activities, interventions, field trips, and opportunities to learn about the world outside of Bowman.
Volunteers/visitors will be asked to complete a confidential proof of vaccination, OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last seventy-two (72) hours, and a completed self-attestation form. Proof of vaccination will only be required once, a negative COVID-19 test will need to be completed prior to the week the volunteer/visitor plans to be on campus.

Instructions to submit Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
Take a picture or scan a PDF of the front of your COVID-19 vaccination card.
Submit the picture or PDF to the Volunteers/Visitors Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test - Online Submission Form. You must use a personal Google account or your student’s school Google account to upload documents.
Instructions to submit Proof of COVID-19 Negative Test and Self-Attestation Form
Complete the “at home” test as directed by the manufacturer.
Write your name and date of specimen collection on the result card.
Download the Volunteer/Visitor Self-Attestation for a COVID-19 Test Performed at Home form from the school COVID-19 webpage at https://www.ackerman.k12.ca.us/covid-19 (this webpage).
Complete and sign form in ink.

Parent Attestation for a COVID-19 Test Performed At Home
It is important that you know ALL of Bowman wants our children back in school, we want learning to progress, and we are improving our processes to make that happen in a more streamlined fashion. We are working to have testing on campus for students if you so desire to use that service, this should happen in early October. We are modifying our daily practices to limit and be able to more reasonably identify close contacts, thus being able to respond in a less sweeping manner.
Moving forward one of the adaptations we are implementing to get students back to school is that Bowman WILL be accepting “at home” COVID test results. We know that at this time it is very difficult for families to attain a test performed in a medical facility, independent lab, or clinic. Therefore we have made this change. The process for submitting an “at home” test result is as follows:
Submit a picture or PDF of both the test result card and the Parent Attestation form and upload to the Parent Attestation for a COVID-19 Test Performed At Home - Online Submission Form available on the school COVID-19 webpage. You must use a personal or your student’s school Google account to upload documents.
The school will review and confirm your test result submission and contact you if there are any questions or concerns.
